Merry Christmas Special Friend

A Christmas card for Christmas day sent to my very special friends. I really like Julia Watts work and have watched her demo a few times and this was done in tribute to her style.

There are ;ots of layers to this card. The background has been randomly stamped and then distresses around the edge. The Merry Christmas has been stamped on the square card then the merry has been stamped again on a separate piece of card and covered on a layer of glitter using double sided adhesive. with lots of die cutting for the flowers and leaves from Sue Wilson dies. I was pleased with the outcome.
Happy Christmas to all my friends and blog visitors.

Creative Artiste DT

Well I would like to announce that I have been asked to join the Design Team for
and this is my first project for the December challenge which is
Anything Goes.

I have always enjoyed making and altering things so now I can enjoy playing for a reason.

As Christmas is rapidly approaching I thought I would make my first project a Christmas one.
So I have made a box of Poinsettias.
It starts out as a card in a box base, but I have folded the side down and shaped them to make it look a little different. The die cut poinsettias have been die cut using a Sue Wilson dies and Spellbinders dies. The top edge of the box and the top of the back have been edged with cotton lace.

I have die cut a variety of leaves including some Tim Holtz dies to fill in below the flowers. Then just added some berry stalks, tiny pinecones, and other leaves to add extra dimension.

I am really pleased to be working with some very talented ladies at Creative Artiste. Please pop over to the challenge blog and see what lovely things they have made too.

I would like to enter this box in the following challnges

Gentle Dream

A nice simple CAS card done using all Clarity products today. I've enjoyed playing for a change although it didn't turn out as I originally intended.

I have used a Clarity stencil of lovely leaves. I have used Archival ink pads Tea Rose, Potting Shed, Cornflower Blue, Sap Green which i have applied with Clarity stencil brushes. Lastly a lovely Clarity sentiment stamp. Also I have applied glue through the stencil and added some glitter but that wouldn't show up on the photo which was a shame as it looked quite effective. But I hope you like it anyway.

Wish

Hi folks,
Sorry I haven't visited my blog for quite a while but I have been having a few health problems and I just didn't feel like crafting much.

But I am getting better now and thought I would have a bit of a play to cheer myself up.

I love working with inchies stamps, but this is  a much simpler idea and that is cutting inchies out patterned paper. The papers have  images on instead of patterns. I have made a wall hanging using foam board as a background. I have decorated the edge with lace and then added some die cuts and pearls. It is attached together and hung using ribbon.

Little White Kitty

This is my inspiration for this months challenge at The Crafting Cafe.
Our sponsor this month is Inky Impressions and this is one of their images.

I think is is easy to guess that the theme this month is
 Black and White

I have to admit that I found the idea for this card on Pinterest, sorry I don't know who the original maker was but I liked it so much I decided to make my version of it. I have kept it very simply layers of black and white patterned papers all cut using Spellbinders dies.

I have also left the image uncoloured, just decoupaged it. Then finally added some ribbon and gems,
